BIOGRAPHY

Growing up in Vancouver’s lower mainland, I am familiar with the relationship between marine life and our coastal culture. The Gitga’at First Nation’s community in Kitimat has invited me to work with them as their Press Contact Person on this important whale conservation project because of my experience in business and social media, as well as my citizenship as a young woman of beautiful British Columbia.

I am currently in my last year of studies at Thompson Rivers University, in Kamloops, taking my Bachelors of Commerce degree in Marketing, and am a social media influencer on both Instagram (11,600 followers) and Tiktok (8,600 followers). Alongside this project, I now sit on the Executive Board of Directors as the Social Media and Strategy Director for the British Columbia Country Music Association.

Together, as Canadians, we must stand up to our provincial government. The government must change its policies to protect the whales and marine ecosystem from oil and gas companies.
